Zainab recently played a pivotal role at the CloudTech'23 conference, serving both as an author and a member of the organizing committee. She extended her gratitude to the exceptional leadership of Pr. Mostapha Zbakh and Pr. Mohamed Essaaidi and acknowledged her dedicated colleagues at the SSLab of Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Informatique et d'Analyse des Systèmes - ENSIAS and the EI2SP lab of Faculté des Sciences Semlalia Marrakech for their teamwork, which significantly contributed to the event's success. The conference provided a vibrant platform for collaboration, bringing together brilliant minds in AI, Cloud Computing, and IoT. 🌟🤝

Zainab presented her research paper titled "A Novel Approach for Recognizing Occluded Objects Using Feature Pyramid Network Based on Occlusion Rate Analysis," co-authored with Pr. Sidi Ahmed Mahmoudi and Pr. Mostapha Zbakh. Her study addresses a critical challenge in smart video surveillance systems: the detection of objects that are partially or fully occluded. The paper introduces an innovative end-to-end approach that integrates a Feature Pyramid Network (FPN) with point cloud density analysis to enhance object detection performance. This holistic methodology replaces traditional techniques with more advanced tools that combine depth information with RGB data, allowing for more precise separation of occluded objects and marking a significant leap forward in real-world applications of computer vision.

She looks forward to the next edition of the conference, eager to build on the connections and insights gained from this inspiring gathering. 🚀✨
